Is Chris Evans A Good Captain America? Vote Now & See His New Captain America Costume In The Upcoming Avengers Movie!

Let's face it! Captain America are some big shoes to fill. He's one of the most respected characters in the Marvel Universe! Not just with Marvel Comic fans, but inside the Marvel world of superheroes as well.
I remember when Chris Evans was first cast to play Captain America and Steve Rogers for Captain America: The First Avenger movie before it even went into production. What I remember was a lot of outcry from fans.
Some were saying he wasn't old enough or didn't have a look like he commanded respect like Cap does in the comic. In essence, he didn't appear mature enough. Some thought it was lame, because Chris Evans was already Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four movies, which Marvel is talking about rebooting!
Personally, as a die hard comic fan, I didn't mind it when he was cast. I knew they were going to do his origin, which meant that Cap would be in his early twenties, since America enacted a draft of all eligible men between 21-25 years of age in 1940. According to his biography, Steve Rogers was born July 4rth 1917. He tried enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1940 and underwent operation rebirth in the same year. That makes him 23 years old.
Cap would be a young man, and World War II ended in 1945, which means Cap would be 28 when he is frozen in suspended animation. That ultimately means he would still be 28 years old when he is revived by The Avengers.
So the whole age thing or maturity thing didn't bother me with Chris Evans. I did think it was weird that they wanted to cast him because he was already another Marvel character in the Fantastic Four movies. However, Marvel already took that into consideration with planning to reboot The Fantastic Four movie franchise.
However, the cat's out of the bag now. It's been awhile since Captain America: The First Avenger came out in theaters, as well as Bluray and DVD. Personally, I thought Captain America: The First Avenger was okay. It's not the greatest comic book movie I've seen.
Sure, there are some things I didn't like about the movie from a comic fan point of view, and there were things I did like about the movie. Over all, I wasn't totally appalled, and it was entertaining. I remember, I was worried about the costume. How were they going to pull that off without making the costume look tacky or cheesy? I think they did a great job. In fact, looking at the pictures of Cap's new costume in The Avengers movie, I like Cap's costume much better in Captain America: The First Avenger.
There's something about Captain America's costume in The Avengers movie I don't like. I think it makes Chris Evans look skinnier, and I think it captures the tackiness and cheese I was worried about with the costume in Captain America: The First Avenger movie.
I did think that Chris Evans did a good job playing Steve Rogers and Captain America - one of the most coveted Marvel Comic Superhero characters of all time. Not an easy role to play for such an Iconic character for virtually ANY actor.
How do you think Chris Evans did? Is he a good Captain America and Steve Rogers, or were you disappointed?

I thought he was a good Captain America. can't wait for the avengers
I liked him much more as Captain America than the Torch. However I like his WWII uniform better than the one they have made up for the Avengers.

I like Chris in Fantastic Four and I thought he did a good job there. I guess he was OK in CA.
